Rinse the tank, substrate (like gravel or sand), and ornaments with water—don’t use soap. Plug in and test all equipment such as heaters, filters, air pumps, and lights. Remember to make sure the heaters are fully submerged before turning them on. Spread the substrate evenly at the bottom of the tank. Arrange your decorations—rocks, plants, and ornaments—how you like. When filling the tank, add a water conditioner to remove chlorine and other chemicals from the tap water, then gently pour the water to avoid disturbing the substrate. Add a bacterial supplement to help cycle your tank, it can take a couple of weeks for the environment to become safe enough for your fish to thrive in. Refunds
