The unification of two of the most famous farm toy brands, Ertl & Britains under the umbrella of Tomy in the early noughties presented some great marketing opportunities now the two were working as one.
Ertl, were the market leading farm toy diecast manufacturer in the USA as early as the 1950's and were known for their large scale of 1:16th. By the mid 1960's they had produced a 1:16th model of a conventional hay baler, a JD 24T and the Modern Day 1:16 JD 348 Baler we have on offer here is a direct descendant of that model. You can see how the two compare as we have included it in the photos.
Those large 1:16 Ertl offerings were unashamedly intended as toys - ideal for \""rug farming\"" & \""sandbox ranchers\"" \u263A but like in many areas of vintage diecast toys, they became popular with collectors too. That is why our modern day conventional baler on offer here is branded under the Britains Big Farm Range and thus is suitable for kids & collector's alike. It featu.
