IP66 Type 4X Stainless Steel Junction Box Hinged Door Q-Turn Latch - Hammond EJ14126SS, The Hammond Eclipse Junior Stainless Steel Junction Box is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, electrical junction box or terminal wiring enclosure. It provides watertight protection to IEC 60529, IP66, where equipment may be hosed down or otherwise become very wet. It also provides protection in specific applications where corrosion may be a problem.The body and front panel/door of the enclosure are formed from 16 gauge (1.6mm), 304 stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish. The removable inner panel is formed from 14 gauge (2mm) thick, unpainted galvanised steel. It has smooth, continuously welded seams without knockouts, cut-outs or holes and has a formed lip designed to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. Continuous stainless steel hinges allow 180° opening, for ease of access. The door has a seamless poured-in place gasket and is secured with a quarter turn slot latch which can only be opened with a tool, for added safety. The rear internal wall of the enclosure has welded mounting studs which are tapped to enable fitting of a supplied internal mounting panel. A bonding stud is provided on the inside of the door and a grounding stud is provided on the inside top of the enclosure, together with the necessary grounding hardware.14 gauge welded rear mounting brackets and associated mounting hardware are also provided.
