Product Description

AquaPond Care Duck Weed Treatment controls duckweed using a natural bacteria which starves the algae of essential nutrients. It is harmless to filters and all species of pond fish, other pond plants and water using wildlife. This product cannot be overdosed. Duckweed (Lemna minor) is a small leafed floating plant which grows and replicates carpeting the surface of the pond. In extreme cases it will smother the pond surface greatly reducing light and oxygen levels which can have detrimental effects on the ponds plants, fish other and aquatic life Use 25ml per 450 litres 250ml bottle treats 2273 litres (600 gallons) 500ml bottle treats 4546 litres (1200 gallons) Directions for use Remove as much duckweed as possible using a net or similar to increase the products rate of effectiveness. Calculate the ponds volume in litres using the following: [Length x width x average depth (in metres)] x 1000 Shake bottle well Remove dosage chamber cap and foil seal, squeeze bottle until chamber is filled to the required level.  Add 25ml for every 450l of pond water. We recommend adding the treatment to a bucket of water and then distributing this evenly over the pond surface. This treatment can cause some pond discolouration, especially if overdosed.  After 7 days add a further dose of 10ml for every 450l to a bucket of pond water and distribute this evenly over the surface.  Repeat the dose weekly until the duckweed is no longer visible
