Tasked with the momentous assignment of reinterpreting Poltrona Frau's iconic '1919' armchair, designer Roberto Lazzeroni approached the Poltrona Frau Style & Design Centre designed seat with respect and affection. The 100-year-old original āĀ an immediate classic thanks to its hand padding, complex leather upholstery and famous capitonnĆ© motif ā featured proportions that were perhaps out of touch with modern day notions of comfort. Accordingly, Lazzeroni's '2019' extracts all the keys features of its predecessor while applying updated dimensions and proportions. Supported by a solid seasoned beech frame that is joined by hand-tied steel biconical springs on the seat, backrest and armrest, '2019' places comfort at its fore. Pelle FrauĀ® ColorSphereĀ® leather upholstery in 'Tortora' with manual capitonnĆ© detailing, and a leather trim offer a matching dose of elegance, and are rounded out with four feet in solid ash wood in a moka stain. Refunds
