Product Description

You'd be forgiven for thinking that Châteauneuf only produced red wines, seeing as they take up most of the spotlight. However, it is a region that also produces whites that can be truly captivating in character and wonderfully complex. Not all producers have enough white vines to make a white cuvée. Thankfully, the Gonnet estate has, and this is a lively, equally split blend of Clairette and Roussanne. A wine with great fruit concentration and a welcome, if slightly surprising, freshness. There's a little spice and richer honey notes on palate and the finish is long, balanced and persistent. "All grapes are hand-picked as per the appellation's rules, and this takes place quite early in the season to ensure maximum freshness is retained.","This is drinking superbly right now, but some time in the cellar will do it no harm and with that it will develop more nutty and honeyed notes.","This wine is wonderful with seafood - pan-seared scallops served with a mango and chilli salsa, or a classic garlic prawn linguini." 75cl bottle. ABV: 13.0% alcohol content.
