Silver Art Clay 950 Clay 50G Pmc Fired Purity 950 Sterling 90% Ag Cu Alloy In Clay, For Making Jewellery Pack Large

Product Description

This high quality Art Clay 950 is a Sterling Silver clay, which is excellent for creating amazing silver alloy jewellery in a great array of forms. Being an alloy, this ArtClay is not only substantially stronger, compared to other types of Art Clay, but has a reduced drying period, ensuring you have more time to shape and sculpt your clay how you desire. This clay is soft and easily malleable, and with a longer drying time, you can take your time to create pendants, rings, bracelets, earrings or any other kind of jewellery or accessory, that needs to be intricately sculpted over time, but requires the hard wearing strength of sterling silver which is .950 purity after sintering. To use, simply sculpt your clay to the desired shape, then allow to dry as per the instructions. Once dry, place in a kiln at or above 500°C (932°F) for 30 minutes to allow the organic minder to burn off. Once this is done increase the temperature in your kiln to 870°C (1598°F), and fire for an additional 60 minutes to ensure your Art Clay piece is completely sintered. If you are unsure if your silver clay has fully sintered, as can happen with thicker pieces, continue sintering until your clay is fully sintered. Please note, the clay will be very fragile during the firing process and should not be moved until you are certain it is fully sintered. Carbon is not require to sinter this product. Expected shrinkage during firing is 10% - 13%. Always follow the instructions that come with your clay to ensure best results.
