To create the series, Old Pulteney has partnered with spirits makers from coastal locations around the world, further maturing its much-loved whisky in a specialist selection of casks and creating four beautifully unique, limited edition expressions that bring wonderful new coastal flavours to the ‘Maritime Malt’. Old Pulteney is The Maritime Malt; its past, present and taste is influenced by its home by the sea on Scotland’s most northerly shores​. Old Pulteney’s whisky captures the very essence of its location, and its latest voyage, The Coastal Series, explores tastes and cask maturations from shorelines around the world. Aroma: Fragrant and rich with honey sweetness and vanilla at the base. Intense fruitiness starts jammy and stewed and develops into candied oranges and sticky balsamic raisins. Hints of toasted spices and powder pepper complete this stunning profile. Taste: Viscous and lingering. Warm spices like nutmeg and cardamom lead, followed by gentle nuttiness, overall reminiscent of dukkah. Beautifully structured oakiness is perfumed with a wine reduction and balanced bycreamy vanilla This limited edition expression is matured in ex-bourbon casks, and casks from the oceanic Charente region north of Bordeaux.
