Glengoyne Gold Year Old Single Malt Whisky Size 10

The Glengoyne Distillery produces some of the finest un-peated whiskies Scotland has to offer. The distillery has been in operation since 1833 and today they continue the traditions and practices put in place all those years ago. They make some bold claims, but when you look to challenge them, they can back them all up and then some. The distillation to create the raw spirits is the longest in Scotland. They insist that their oak casks are air dried for three years, filled with sherry for three years and only then are they emptied and shipped over to the distillery to be filled with whisky, destined for a minimum of 10 years maturation. Slow is their way and we can't fault their approach or the finished whiskies! "Green apples come first, followed by toffee and just a little hazelnut. It is wonderfully smooth, incredibly moreish and perfectly balanced.","Aged in ex-sherry casks exclusively for 10 years this is a magnificent Highland single malt from a top-class outfit.","Everything at Glengoyne is approached with the environment at the forefront of their minds and we love that attitude." 70cl bottle. ABV: 40.0% alcohol content.
