Footprint 13310 182 Hacking Knife 114mm (4.1/2in)

MOST VERSATILE KNIFE YOU'LL OWN - One of our oldest product designs that's stood the test of time and is now used for way more jobs than it was ever intended... Including but not limited to: Preparing wood surfaces, chopping fire wood, cutting holes in metal, as a cable cutter, part of fishing tool kit, gardening and we kid you not... slicing through cars in the outback, down under. This multipurpose blade should be a staple part of any professional or DIY tool box BUILT TO LAST - A single piece of drop forged carbon steel that's heat treated to create a hardened blade that maintains its sharp edge for longer. The 4.5 inch/115mm machine ground blade is a heavy duty demolition knife designed to be knocked around. The full tang blade extends the entire length of the handle to increase strength and prevent snapping. The tapered, thick spine on the back provides a clear striking head enabling it to be hit with a hammer. And boy can it take some beating MAKE IT YOUR OWN - The basic handle is made from leather fibre that has a rubber-like feel, held in place by 3 strong rivets. In fact, the blade will last so long that it frequently outlives its handle. But over the years, we've had hundreds of tradespeople tell us that they've crafted their own because they loved the blade so much that they couldn't bear to part with it ROUGH AND READY - It does what it says on the tin. It's basic and rough round the edges, but can be used for jobs that require brute force and bad language. So whether it's being used in the garden, as a scraper, by electricians, plastering, decorating, woodworking, as a pocket knife, a survival kit essential, bushcraft, hunting, whittling or glazing as it was intended... hack away, friends BRITISH MADE - All of Footprint's hacking/Side knives are manufactured in Sheffield, where we have an international reputation for steel-making. Each one goes through 14 manufacturing processes to transform a bar of high quality carbon steel into this incredibly strong and long-lasting toolbox staple. In our 4th generation of a family-owned business, that's been manufacturing since the 1700s, we know a thing or two about producing quality tools, Weight: 0.4850169764 Pounds, Manufacturer: Footprint
