Product Description

This is a brand new Youngs home brew pressure barrel for storing and serving your home brew beer.  It has a easy to use  screw-on cap with a vent  which allows excess pressure to safely escape and also has a lever tap down the bottom to serve your beer from. Please note that this is a brand new barrel. Don't waste your money on a secondhand one as you don't know if it will work or not - afterall it is being sold for a reason!

To use, syphon your fermented beer into the barrel leaving the sediment behind. Add the priming sugar as directed in the beer kits instructions (if you have lost the instructions 75g is usual for ales and 90g for lagers) and seal the cap well with vaseline around the thread. Place the barrel somewhere around 20 - 24 deg C for 4 days for the secondary fermentation to take place then put somewhere cold to help the clearing of the beer. You will need the beer to completely clear down below the tap and then it is ready to serve.
