DS 3000 brake pads - Track preferred brake pads with good friction for cold street use Ferodo DS3000 brake pads are suitable for more intensive track use. The DS3000 brake pads have a better coefficient of friction than the DS2500 and significantly better resistance to higher temperatures. This way the friction remains up to 650 degrees. where the DS2500 is suitable up to approx. 500 degrees. but slowly decreases after 250 degrees. The DS3000 gives significantly more friction when the temperature of the blocks increases. For example. you can brake considerably harder above 250 degrees than with a DS2500. where the friction of the DS3000 even continues to increase up to 500 degrees. The heat transfer to the calipers will also be smaller. so that the fluid will not heat up as quickly. This allows you to drive many more laps than you would normally be used to.
