Jamieson Brothers Polypots - Pack of 5,lightweight re-usable pots that holds up to 20 litres of compostA new innovation in growing potatoes is to use polypots. These are light weight and re-usable pots. The added bonus of the polypot is that they are designed to be placed into soil and can be grown like conventional potatoes would in your garden but there is very little digging.Each polypot will hold about 20 litres of compost when filled. The polypots should be filled upto 5cm from the top of the bag.GROWING IN POLYPOTS:Mix up 450gm of fertiliser and 340gm of calcified seaweed with 100 litres of compost and add 5cm layer of the mix to the polypot. Place one chitted seed potato ontom that layer and then fill the bag to the top with more of your compost mix. You can get almost six full polypots from this mix and each polypot can produce 2.5kg of potatoes. Place your polypots outside on soilthat has some fetiliser added to it. The roots will protrude from the bottom of the polypot and will also absorb the nutrients in the soil. There is no need to dig potatoes out of the ground with this method just lift the bag and tip them out.If you have no garden, simply use the green planter bags.
