Malus Evereste Tree

The apple tree 'Evereste' is a trellis tree, which has a rather open structure. The very special charm of this garden plant is the fact that it gets beautiful ornamental apples in the fall and lures many insects into the garden during the flowering season. This apple tree produces numerous, orange-red to red fruits, with a diameter of up to 2.5 cm in winter. The slightly lobed and dark green leaves of Malus Evereste remain sticky in autumn and then turn yellow-orange. Its large flowers grow up to 6 cm long in clusters of 4 to 8 flowers. The buds are dark violet-pink coloured, but once opened, the flowers turn pure white in colour. The ornamental apple tree blooms from early May to mid-June with white, slightly fragrant cup-shaped flowers that contrast beautifully against its dark green leaves. The Evereste tree is quite sturdy, frost-resistant and adapts quickly to any type of garden soil, until it is nutrient-rich and well-drained. However, it will not tolerate too wet soil and dry soil so well. The tree thrives best in normal garden soil in sunny to partially shaded position. It is mildew and scab resistant, and can also tolerate paved locations. Here is an apple tree that has a medium water requirement and demands low maintenance. Use any general slow-release fertilizer in the spring while planting. Malus Evereste is suitable for general gardens, parks and green spaces as a decorative plant. Decorate your garden with a charming apple tree that needs rather little attention. Supplied Height: 5-6ft Characteristics: Yellow/orange-red fruits in Autumn Flowering: White to pink flowers in April to May Height and Spread: 5m / 4m Hardiness and Best: Fully hardy (-28.8). Full sun or partial shade. Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil.
