Ceanothus Trewithen Blue (9cm)

Ceanothus ‘Trewithen Blue’ is a breed of Californian Lily and is popular for its vigorous, spreading growth, creating beautiful eye-catching displays with its broad, glossy, dark green leaves and prolific clusters of small, deep blue flowers which bloom from late Spring through to the Summer and bring a soft fragrance to the garden. Can be used as a border or screen or trained as a climber, though it would require some support. Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full sun for the best flower colour. Tolerates drier soils and salty coastal winds but does require some shelter and protection from frost during the colder winter months. Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. Ongoing plant maintenance within our nursery is essential, meaning some lines are pruned back at certain times of the year to encourage new growth. Pot Size: 9cm Plant Height (Including Pot): 20 - 30cm Characteristics: Spreading evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green foliage and dark blue flowers. Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 4 - 8m. Flourishing Season: Clusters of slightly fragrant deep blue flowers blooming in late Spring through to Summer. Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Grows best in full sun. Keep sheltered to protect from Winter frosts and winds.
