LAMBERTS Alpha Lipoic Acid - 90 x 300mg Tablets

Lamberts Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA), also known as thioctic acid or simply lipoic acid, was discovered over 40 years ago and was originally thought to be a vitamin. This vitamin-like substance has generated a lot of interest in recent years, especially with regard to both its ability to act as a powerful antioxidant and its role in energy production. Properties Alpha Lipoic Acid helps all the B vitamins, including thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid and niacin, to convert carbohydrates, proteins and fats found in foods into energy that the body can store for later use. Alpha lipoic acid is a cell-protective antioxidant, and can stimulate the body to boost other antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E. Benefits Alpha Lipoic Acid helps restore levels of certain vitamins (C and E), neutralizes free radicals and works as a powerful antioxidant. It is recommended to take 1 to 2 tablets a day on an empty stomach. As a general antioxidant support, a lower dose, 1 tablet per day, can be used. It is not a product recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Diabetics should consult their doctor before taking Alpha Lipoic Acid, as it can enhance the action of insulin. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of little kids. Store the container in a cool, dry place.
