Product Description

Ethernet RJ45 / 8P8C Connector JacksSupplied in Packs of 100Used for - Termination connector for crimping onto the ends of CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 Cable. This is the standard 8P8C (Eight Position, Eight Contact) Ethernet connector, commonly referred to as RJ45. Most frequently used in PC networking applications, such as connecting PCs together, or to a modem, router or switch. These connectors can be used with stranded or solid core cabling. Useful Features – A razor sharp steel cutting blade makes cutting through cable easy, but its recessed design keeps fingertips intact. The heavy-duty vinyl grips keep the cutters stable and predictable during use, and a handy locking mechanism keeps everything compact and safe when the crimpers are in your toolbox.Installation – Using a CAT5e crimping tool (Not Included), strip the insulation from the end of a piece of CAT5e cable, and line up the coloured wires within to the pins, as per the wiring diagram above. Once they’re all seated, squeeze the connector with a CAT5e crimp tool, which will grip and lock the wires into the connector. The insulation should now slide away easily.Variants - These connectors can be fitted to CAT5 or CAT5e Cable, using either of the industry standard TIA/EIA-568-A or TIA/EIA-568-B wiring configurations shown above, to create ‘Straight Through’ or ‘Cross Over’ cables. 'Cross over' cables are usually used for connecting 2 computers directly to one another, without the use of a Hub or Router. They use TIA/EIA-568-A wiring at one end, and TIA/EIA-568-B at the other. 'Straight through' cables can be used for connecting a PC or games console to a Hub/Router, or, in conjunction with AV extender devices, for audio and video distribution throughout a home or commercial project. To create a 'Straight through' cable, it should be wired using the same wiring variant at both ends. Either ‘568-A to 568-A’ or ‘568-B to 568-B’Technical Information;Transparent body to aid in the fitting of wires to termin.
