The 2 inputs (UHF & VHF) are combined and distributed to the outputs (10db gain per output). Good quality coaxial cable loses about 0.18db/metre, therefore a cable run of 40 metres would lose about 7.2db so the amplifier gain should be roughly the same or slightly more than this. It can be used with digital (Freeview) or analogue signals.4G Ready – This means that this amplifier has a 4G LTE filter built in that cuts out interference and channel loss caused by 4G mobile phone signals and phone mast signals. DC Power pass - DC power pass means devices such as magic eye remote control extenders (commonly used for controlling sky boxes from another room) are compatible. Short Circuit Protection - The distribution amplifier has a built in short circuit protection on each individual output, meaning, if a short circuit is detected, only the output with the short circuit will be shut down.
