25m BT Socket Extension Kit - External Copper CAT5e Cable SuppliedWhy Buy - Can be cut to the length required during installation for a professional finish. This kit is supplied with high grade CAT5e cable, this is built to a higher specification than standard BT CW1308 cable (there is more twists per metre on each pair and the CAT5e is made from pure copper not CCS - copper clad steel). This ensures there is minimal degradation of the signal, perfect for maintaining broadband speed in another location. OverviewOne end of the supplied outdoor rated cable should be attached to your current master socket (linebox) or another extension socket using the supplied IDC tool, the cable should then be clipped into place and run to the location where you would like your new BT extension socket. The wire should then be cut to length and connected to the new BT extension socket. As this is an outdoor kit, the cable can be run externally, two brick buster plates are supplied with the kit which cover drilled brickwork where a cable enters or exits the exterior of a building. They can be fitted with silicone and will help prevent the ingress of water into the hole in the brickwork.
