Product Description

When you thought Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea ā€˜Annabelleā€™ couldnā€™t get any better, she has! Now in pink H.arborescens, Thompson & Morgan ā€˜Pink Annabelleā€™ is a stunning, reliable new variety with stems that remain upright in all weather conditions and are strong enough to bear the large blooms, which have a diameter of up to 30cm. This hardy, herbaceous shrub is very easy to grow, and will continue to bloom year on year, all throughout the summer, regardless of pruning or extreme weather. Whatā€™s more, this variety blooms on new wood, unlike older varieties which only bloom on the old. The perfect plant to attract attention in the garden. Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea Arborescens ā€˜Pink Annabelleā€™ prefers a sunny or semi-shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow Hydrangea plants in any rich, fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding in plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Alternatively, plant Hydrangea Arborescens in patio containers in ericaceous compost. Leave faded Hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space and to improve the shape of the plant.
