Product Description

Dill produces elegant, fern-like foliage that is remarkably compact making it ideal for growing on the windowsill. Hardy and well suited to the UK climate, easy for anyone to grow. A perfect addition to your kitchen garden, or in containers on the patio. Direct sow dill seeds outdoors from March to July into well prepared soil in full sun. Sow seeds thinly into drills 1cm (½") deep and 15cm (6") apart. Thin seedlings to 30cm (12") apart. Make regular sowings for a successional harvest. Dill can also be sown at 20C (68F) on the surface of a free draining, damp seed compost. Cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite and place in a propagator, or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination. Do not exclude light as this will aid germination. When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 5cm (2") apart. Gradually acclimatise dill plants to outdoor conditions over 7 – 10 days before planting outdoors on well drained soil in full sun when all risk of frost has passed. Product Specifications: Position In: Full Sun Height: Up to 30cm Spread: Up to 20cm Supplied as 1 Packet of 500 Seeds. Delivered with growing and care instructions Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity. Different growing conditions might vary results. Image may be included for illustration of supply but can vary due to seasonality changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
