Buxus Pyramid Topiary (50-60cm)

Buxus sempervirens is a timeless way to decorate your outdoor space and ensure it retains lush greenery throughout the year. This pyramid shaped topiary shrub is perfect for adding height and interest to entrances, patios, pathways and other paved areas. Also known as Boxwood or Common Box, Buxus plants require very little maintenance - despite their carefully pruned shape. In fact, this shrub only needs trimmed once or twice a year to keep it looking its best. Box shrubs do require regular watering during dry spells but otherwise demand very little care to remain healthy and attractive in appearance. This is a hardy shrub that tolerates harsh temperatures and provides garden colour even in the dead of winter. In spring you’ll notice your Boxwood blooming clusters of small yellow flowers. Boasting dense foliage of small glossy green leaves, Buxus is extremely well suited for topiary and is happy to be trimmed to your heart’s content. It is slow growing in nature, which makes maintaining the elegant cone shape nice and easy. Turning the pot around occasionally will allow the sun to reach every part of the plant and encourage even growth. Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only - The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth. Characteristics: Lush evergreen cone shaped shrub for ornamental topiary, green foliage and clusters of yellow flowers in spring. Growth and Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 4-8m unless pruned. Care and Maintenance: Place in a spot with full or partial sun and keep soil moist but well drained. Tolerates most soil types well. Trim once or twice a year to maintain size and shape. Period of Interest: Evergreen foliage with flowers appearing in spring. Top Tip: Prune using very sharp secateurs. This prevents foliage damage and maintains an attractive appearance.
