Coprosma Inferno Patio Tree Size: 70-80cm (Incl. Pot)

Coprosma Inferno grows well in pots and containers and is perfect for brightening up patios, driveways and terraces, as well as flanking entrances. Also known as mirror plant, coprosma inferno is often grown as a shrub. However, trained into a patio tree shape, it makes an excellent year-round plant for garden design. Patio trees provide height and structure to an outdoor space and the evergreen nature of coprosma inferno provides plenty of colour interest throughout the year. This patio tree has an exceptionally interesting colour scheme. In spring and summer, its glossy green leaves are edged in yellow-orange tones. The green is flushed with deep purple in autumn and winter when the edging turns a dramatic shade of red. Insignificant flowers and berries may appear on mature plants. Place this patio tree in a sheltered spot in full sun or partial shade. Water frequently during hot, dry spells and provide additional insulation for pot grown plants in winter to protect the roots from frost damage. Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves. Coprosma Inferno is a bushy ornamental garden plant with a columnar upright growing habit. This specimen is trained into a single stem and is perfect to sit solitary in small gardens, patios, borders or mixed containers. Coprosma Inferno trees can reach an optimum height and spread of around 1.5m over a 5-10 year period. The attractive shape of this coprosma inferno makes it an ideal patio tree. Only light pruning is needed between mid spring and late summer to maintain the size and shape. As with all outdoor plants grown in pots, this patio tree requires regular watering during spells of dry weather. Be sure not to over-hydrate, but make sure the tree doesn't dry out. Plant in moist, well-draining soil. Coprosma Inferno is valued for its stunning display of brightly coloured foliage. Like all evergreen plants, this tree keeps its striking foliage, creating visual interest throughout the year.
