Prezzybox Black Print Club London Screen Printing Kit

This kit is a great introduction to the technique of screen printing. At its most basic the technique is the process of pushing ink through a fabric screen on to another surface. By blocking out areas of the screen you can therefore just push the ink through certain sections resulting in a shape or pattern being transferred to the surface on which you are printing. This kit is a collaboration between Print Club London and Luckies. It contains a small screen, a squeegee, a tub of black fabric ink, spatulas, sheets of vinyl shapes and . . . a set of instructions. In addition to the contents of the box you will also need a decent sized flat surface, water and a sponge, a clothes iron, some fabric to print on. You may also find it useful to have masking tape, scrap cardboard and a pair of scissors or a craft knife to hand, and an apron. The instructions run you through the techniques for preparing the screen, applying the vinyls, doing the actual screen printing (the fun bit) and the cleaning up (the not su fun bit). Once you have gained some confidence with this kit you could add additional coloured inks to your repertoire, invest in bigger screens and discover photo-exposure for screens. But . . . for your first attempts at screen printing this kit is perfect. Before you know it you'll have your own Andy Warhol Factory set up! Measurements (box) 42cm x 30.5cm x 7cm The maximum print size for the screen is approximately 35cm x 25cm
