Born in the Thirties Sweets Gift Selection Box
Visit Our Shop Letterbox Friendly Description
Born or perhaps just brought up in the 1930s? Here is a nostalgia sweets gift, including the kind of sweets that were around then. Clearly they are not an exact match, especially the packaging. Frys Chocolate Cream was one of the first chocolate bars ever produced, launched in 1866! Cadburys chocolate, well that easily qualifies, even though its now been gobbled up by Kraft. Pontefract cakes have a very long history and close equivalents to the boiled sweets, the mint fondant and the coconut ice would have been available. Edinburgh rock was apparently first made in the 19th Century by a man named Alexander Ferguson. So as you can see this is an ideal 1930s nostalgia gift.
