Product Description

Most smiles start with a second smile. The wooden version of the Hoptimist is the embodiment of smile, optimism and good humor and, with its natural materials and round, harmonious expression, it spreads joy wherever it lands. The product is made from FSC® certified oak (FSC-C166612). H7.2cm, D6cm With a strong belief in the power of the smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created his joyful Hoptimist movement in the late 1960s. The goal was to create a figure who would always be a reminder to stay positive and optimistic. While the 1960s are often referred to as "the happy years," the decade was marked by turmoil. Ehrenreich's design was therefore a welcome encouragement in an otherwise turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble represent the very first Hoptimists born from the hand of the designer: a dressed girl with smiling eyes and a cute boy with a split on his head. Today, the cheerful Hoptimisters are part of Danish design history and create joy all over the world.
