Sky-Watcher Explorer-130 Eq2 Telescope

The Skywatcher Explorer 130 EQ2 is an excellent choice as a start telescope.Enough aperture to bring a large number of deep space objects (from a dark sky away from town lights) into view.See the Moon in amazing detail, and subtle detail on the larger planets.

Note this is a large telescope weighing over 15kg, so may not be suitable as a travel telescope.

Comes with a sturdy EQ2 tripod and sensible selection of eye pieces to get you started. You can upgrade eyepieces at any time.

As this is a Newtonian, the view will be upside-down - left - right opposite. But as all stars are a point of light this has no disadvantage.

\""Our first test on the Sky-Watcher Explorer-130 was to check the collimation of the mirrors, which we found were well aligned. This scope has one of the largest mirrors in its price range, which is a great asset because it means it can gather more light...Optically, the quality of the field of view while studying the star Altair was very good using .
