Product Description

You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.

I love this 1940's knitting pattern for a lady's rather lovely one piece swim suit which is straight forward to knit. It is a classic yet modest design with d.c. edging the lower part of the legs, top and back edges. Sizing is a little different with only two sizes given the 'top to lower edge of side seam', and 'across the widest part' which is given as 17ins. (front and back are knitted separately). I am guessing the latter is the bust measurement so this swim suit should fit a 34 inch bust. Originally the swim suit was knitted in \""Anlaby\"" 3-ply non-shrink Botany wool which has been long discontinued, however, you may wish to create this set in a modern non-shrink 4-ply, as vintage yarns were heavier than modern, but do work a tension square before embarking on your project to see if a change of needles is needed to obtain the correct tension stipulated in the pattern.  &nb.
