Instructions are for a pair of slippers to fit a size 4-6 foot, as the felt fabric from the hat is 'extremely elastic' according to the pattern. If you do not have any felt hats to hand, you could utilise a good quality modern millinery 'elastic' felt as a substitute which is easily procured and economically priced, but do contact your supplier to check the felt is suitable before embarking on your project.
