You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.
This is a lovely crochet pattern for a baby girls poncho and matching coat, bonnet and pull-ups (pull-ups are knitted). The set comes in two sizes, to fit a baby with either an 18 or 20 inch chest, and was originally crocheted in \""Bronte Baby Quick Knitting\"" using a size No.4 and 9 hook as well as one pair each of No.9 and 11 knitting needles for the pull-ups. Sadly this yarn is now discontinued, so you may wish to try a modern D/K, but do work your tension square first and change hook or needles as necessary to obtain the correct tension. A very eye-catching set indeed.
