Product Description

You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.

This is such a wonderful pattern from the 50s. It consists of two tea cosy's for you to knit, a crinoline lady cosy with her beautiful full skirt, or a more traditional tasselled cosy which the pattern calls \""Reveille\"". Both cosy's will be the centrepiece of any breakfast table or high tea for friends function. The crinoline lady cosy (top tea cosy) is knitted in Fingering 4-ply or Fingering 3-ply on three No.11 needles. You may wish to consider modern 4-ply for this pattern to attain similar results to the vintage 3-ply stated. But always work a tension square first. The traditional tasselled cosy is in D/K worked on two No.10 needles.

If you choose to attempt the crinoline lady pattern, it is still possible to obtain the china lady's torso. When I knit a crinoline lady cosy, I have often managed to obtain one from other sellers on ebay. Usually, these lady's are listed as 'pin .
