You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.

This delightful pattern dates from the 1940s and gives todays knitter the opportunity to recreate a simple glove knitted in stocking stitch on four needles then embroidered in three different ways. The first glove (bottom in circle) is decorated in running stitch in a contrasting coloured wool. The second pair (top right) is again decorated in running stitch, but this time to give a plaid effect in two contrasting coloured wools. Finally, the third pair as worn by the model, is decorated by working two lines of stem stitch along the back of the hand, then working lazy daisy loop stitches along both sides of the line. One easy to knit glove with striking results suitable for a range of occasions. The gloves were originally knitted in a 3-ply wool, but you may want to try a modern 4-ply as vintage yarns were heavier than modern, but work a tension square first to see if a .

Refunds
