I love this 1950s pattern for a dear little doll called Miranda who comes with instructions to make her coat, dress, bonnet, knickers, socks and shoes. Originally she was worked in a 4-ply yarn with D/K used for her hair and scraps of 3 or 4-ply used for her features. All clothing is in D/K with the exception of the knickers and socks which are in 4-ply. In place of the 3-ply try a modern 4-ply and with the 4-ply, try a modern D/K as vintage yarns were heavier than modern, but work your tension square to see if a change of needles is needed to obtain the tension stipulated in the pattern. Regards the embroidery used for the features, the stitches used are straight stitch, buttonhole stitch and pyramid buttonhole st.

Refunds
