Product Description

You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.

This delightful pattern dates from the 1950s and gives todays knitter the opportunity to recreate three amazing styles of vintage glove worked on two needles. Original yarn used was a 3-ply for two of the designs and a 4-ply for the other.

However, you may wish to use a modern 4-ply in place of the vintage 4-ply and a D/K in place of the vintage 4-ply as vintage yarns were heavier than modern, but work a tension square first to see if a change of needles is necessary. No sizes are given, but it is assumed they will fit an average sized hand.

Measurements & Requirements To Complete Your Project Taken DIRECTLY From the Original Pattern:

MATERIALS:

3-ply or 4-ply yarn according to the chosen style

Either two No.10, No.11 or No.12 needles according to the style chosen

MEASUREMENTS:

None given

TENSION:

For two styles it is 8 sts to 1 inch, the final st.
