This 1930s vintage knitting pattern is for a sweet little dog called 'Tim The Terrier'. Tim stands 12 inches in height from the top of his ears to the base of his legs and he is knitted in moss stitch sections originally using a 3-ply yarn used double throughout. His nose and eyes are embroidered in wool in satin stitch with stem-stitch marking the mouth (the centre of the eye has a boot button which can be omitted if needed). You may wish to try knitting him in modern 4-ply used doubled throughout (or a single strand of D/K) as vintage yarns were 'heavier' than those today, but do work a tension square first to see if a change of needles is necessary to obtain the tension instructions in the pattern. A wonderful straight forward vintage pattern in every way for a traditional cuddlesome toy which would make a perfect gift!

Refunds
