This cosy pattern is so sweet. It allows you to knit a pretty country cottage and a cosy topped with totally divine crocheted flowers. The country cottage cosy's walls are worked in moss stitch and the roof in a basket weave pattern, whilst the floral cosy is described in the pattern as \""A Gay Tea Cosy-Choose Pretty Colours to Tone With Your Tea Set\"". Both styles are knitted in Sirdar Majestic wool on No.7 needles, though which ply of majestic is not mentioned. However, going by the tension and needle size, I think that it is the 4-ply version which is similar to modern D/K, so I'd try D/K, but work a tension square first.
Tea cosy's make wonderful gifts for folk, can raise a smile and are fairly quick and easy to make!!
