Chief Inspector Anders Andersson was assigned to the case. Andersson, born 1950 near the burial site, knew the area, its history, and its people, better than anyone. Andersson\u00B4s mother, now 93, had lived in the immediate proximity to the peat bog at the time of the murders.
Andersson manages to identify the victims, and he finds strong circumstantial evidence for who had been the leading perpetrator. The investigation takes him to an extreme religious sect in northern Minnesota, USA, and back to Sweden. Tragic life stories are revealed.
