Product Description

First To Fight 1/72 Sd Kfz 251/4

German Armoured Artillery Half Track

20mm Scale

New, sealed and unbuilt.

Ref No : FTF053

A superb model of the versatile German half track. The 251 was used throughout the war from 1939 right through to 1945 and saw service on all fronts. The 251 was the subject of many many variants from command vehicles and infantry support vehicles to ambulances, mortar carriers and anti tank platforms.

The Ausf A and Ausf B are recognisable by the more 'pointed' nose than the later Ausf C and Ausf D which had a single sloped panel nose. The Ausf A and B - like the Ausf C, also had the buldging rear doors rather than the sloped doors simplified for the Ausf D.

The 251/4 was armed with a single MG34 or MG42 mounted on the front. The Sd Kfz 251/4 was used as an ammunition carrier and tractor for the 75mm leIG.18 infantry support gun. It carried 120 rounds and a crew of 7. Later it was also used to tow 50mm Pak38, 75mm Pak40 and 10g
