The Sd Kfz 223 was a wireless car model of the Sd Kfz 222 Light Armoured Car. Introduced in 1938, it was specifically designed to carry long range radio equipment. The 223 had a smaller turret than the 222 mounting only a 7.62mm MG34 and the frame aerial around the hull. This aerial could be lowered to provide a lower silhouette however it proved unsatisfactory and was later replaced by a vertical rod type as seen on the Sd Kfz 260. In a lowered position, the frame aerial fitted snuggly round the hull.
The 223 was employed by HQ units for communicating with divisional or brigade HQ, for which a much greater range was required from the wireless set.
This is a fast build kit designed for wargamers with around 20 parts.
Whether for wargaming or just building for display this brand new kit is a beauty. Not to be missed.

Refunds
