Sowing the seeds of peace for food security - Free Tracked Delivery

This study looks at the nature of the presumed relationships between conflict, food security and peace. First it charts out how the landscape of conflict and violence has changed in recent decades and shows how food security and nutrition outcomes vary across different types of conflict, identifying the conditions that seem to influence those outcomes the most.Subsequently, the book reviews evidence on the channels through which conflict and violence affect food security and nutrition across conflict areas, and how food insecurity and other development deficiencies - including undernourishment - may trigger or compound other drivers of conflict. Finally, the paper discusses which responses and response mechanisms seem to have been most effective in minimizing the impacts of conflict on food
